Our organization has 100 available spots for athletes. With 4 age groups of 25 available spots. Reasoning being we want all of our kids to get the proper practice and game experience to give them the best opportunity to excel on and off of the field. We want to give them the best knowledge of the game and confidence to execute the game plan. Each player will receive protective equipment that has to be returned after the season for the next group of kids for the next season. As well as a custom uniform with their name and number to keep after the season.
Our flag team is the foundation of our program. This is where the fundamentals of the game is best suited and stressed to our staff. Our flag team starts at the tender age of 4 years of age to 5 years of age. We will have 6 open coaching positions to teach the fundamentals of football to 25 boys and girls. We will also have 2 team moms to help solidify respect and manners on our sidelines in practice as well as game days. All participants will receive a soft shell helmet for protection that will have to be returned by the end of the season. A custom game day uniform that the player can keep. Each player must come in shorts, shirts, mouth piece and cleats.
Our Tykes team is our first introduction to tackle football. We will introduce a safe and proper aspect to these athletes with a safe tackle fundamentals camp with experienced coaches. Our coaching staff is dedicated to safety, knowledge and proper performance to better suit these athletes. Our staff will have up to 8 experienced coaches and 2 team moms to help solidify structure and safety at this level. Tykes will have 25 open spots. We want our numbers at a reasonable limit so that each player gets time in practice as well as games to perform at their best and gain the knowledge at their positions. Each player will receive shoulder pads as well as a protective helmet to participate but must return after the season. All players will receive a custom game day uniform with their name and number to keep after the season. Each player must have a Cardinal Red mesh practice jersey and white uniform pants to unify with their respective team color practice uniform.
Our Rookie age group will be our introduction to the advance stage in our program for young athletes. But not limited to non experienced athletes. Our staff will consist of 8 coaches to break down each position so the players know their role on their respective team. 1 team mom at this level cause players should be well mannered and attentive to their fellow players as well as coaches. Rookies will have the same open 25 spots. We want all age groups to have their players with the same amount of playing opportunities. Each player will receive a helmet and shoulder pads and must return them in at the end of the season. Each player will receive a custom game day uniform to keep at the end of the season. Each player must have a Gold mesh practice jersey and white uniform pants to unify with their respective practice uniform.
Our Juniors division is the standard in our program. This is where the spirit of the team trickles down to the younger groups. This is our mentor participants in our athletes. This group will have 8 coaches and 1 team mom to install these great qualities in our young men and women in this age groups. Each player will receive a helmet and shoulder pad that will be returned at the end of the season. A custom game day uniform that players will be able to keep. Each player must have a Grey mesh jersey and white uniform pants to unify with their respective team practice uniforms.
All board members as well as all coaches, trainers as well as team moms will go through a background check before stepping foot on the field. These volunteers will uphold the integrity of this program with honor and respect of not only our youth but to our parents and community as well. We will not tolerate disrespect of the game nor will we tolerate violence. We have a zero tolerance policy.
Our first open camp try outs will be at a future date for our Spring season at the Frank Garrett Community Center 1226 NW 18th St. San Antonio Texas 78207. We will focus on conditioning our first 2 weeks of camp. Athletes will be introduced to their coaches and will work on footwork, hand and eye coordination, agility and speed skills. A tackle camp for players that are not advanced in that category will be at a later date. This will not be our enrollment date before our season just a camp to get to know our community and our youth as well as our sponsors.
We will have our enrollment for athletes at the Frank Garrett Community Center on August 13th 2023. This will be one of many dates to enroll your child and or volunteers.
